After meeting Amtrak this morning at East Waverly, we see Q326 heading east through Zeeland with a whole lot of sandies from the Waverly pickup.

Enroute to work that morning, D700 came out of the hole at Waverly after Amtrak and was able to bag them near some early changing leaves. Trackage in the foreground is the M&J spur.

Perhaps the smallest crossbucks in all of Michigan, these guard the crossing of a bike path that runs parallel with James St. in Zeeland.

The Dutch flavor of West Michigan is evidenced in the name of the town and the seed store, which is closed on Sunday, of course.
